Gour Mohan Sachin Mandal Mahavidyalaya has an unit attached to 39 Bengal Battalion NCC with 91 male and 49 female cadets. The NCC unit is under the able leadership of Associate NCC Officer, Lt Sushanta Mahato. Lt Mahato successfully completed the Pre-Commission Course from the Officers Training Academy, Kamptee, Nagpur in September 2023.
In living up to the motto of NCC, the college unit strives to mould its cadets into disciplined and responsible citizen of the nation. The college unit aims to instil the principles of “Unity and Discipline" while forging the spirit of patriotism, courage, leadership, spirit of adventure, secularism and self-discipline. Cadets on successful completion of the course are awarded B and C certificates. Regular practice sessions are conducted with the cadets. 1st year students are admitted every year after a field trial. Career in Army is an option for successful candidates.

In the college, the NCC takes a lead role in Independence Day Celebration, Tree Plantations, Swachh Bharat Abhiyaan, Cleaning of Water Bodies etc.
